On Thursday, 18 March, at 11:00, State Secretary Sorin Munteanu will attend the official opening of the "HOLIDAY MARKET" International Tourism Fair, organised by the National Association of Travel Agencies of Romania (ANAT) during the period 18-21 March 2010, at the Parliament Palace.

"We are extremely happy to see that our effort to promote local tourism destinations is completed by the entrepreneurs in this field through concrete actions. We support all initiatives that contribute to the development of Romanian tourism, as this first edition of the International Tourism Fair organised by ANAT," said Sorin Munteanu.

Romania will be present at this exhibition with a stand arranged by the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism on an area of 63 sqm, located in the C4 gallery. Besides the ministry, professional, employers and promotion associations in tourism participate in the Romanian stand: OPTBR (National Association of Spas), ANTREC (the National Association for Rural, Ecological and Cultural Tourism), The Romanian Tourism Employers` Union (FPTR), ANAT.

Through its presence at the fair, under the "Tourist in Romania" campaign, the ministry, promotes the most important destinations and types of tourism in Romania, but also the special offers programmes agreed by the employers` and professional tourism association, which imply reductions of tariffs for travel packages.

The “HOLIDAY MARKET” International Tourism Fair addresses to both specialists and the general public. At its first edition, the event takes place on an exhibition area of 3,500 sqm, in the Unirii, Take Ionescu, C.I. Brătianu halls, as well as in the C4, C5 and C6 galleries, within the Palace of Parliament.
